Douglas Romayne recorded Hollywood Studio Symphony players at Firehouse Studio in Pasadena for director Douglas Hunter's timely documentary THE CONSTANT PROCESS about the journey of Episcopal priest Susan Russell, an outspoken defender of marriage equality. Doc was showcased at the 2008 Chicago Gay & Lesbian Film Festival.
2008 Palm Springs International Shortfest screens THE TRUTH ABOUT FACES, scored by Douglas Romayne and recorded earlier this year at Back Pocket Studio.
Douglas Romayne completed his original score for Academy Award nominee Steven Edell's latest film, the WWII-thriller A SON'S WAR filmed on location in Europe. Douglas conducted a string section and harp including A-list players Gayle Levant, David Walther and Armen Ksajikian at Firehouse. On the film Douglas worked with a hero of his, Kenny Hall, a music editor who has worked with John Williams and Jerry Goldsmith.
